RTN Permit

Product Description

     Industrial goods that present a certain risk potential are subject to the supervision of ROSTECHNADZOR, the “Federal Technical Industrial Surveillance Authorities“, that approves the operation of facilities with risk potential.
      RosTechNadzor (Gaspromnadzor, Gasgortechnadzor) is the technical controlling authority (similar to TüV) that inspects potentially hazardous objects, as well as technical equipment used there. Approval for start up of hazardous objects is given after acceptance tests, expertise of technical documentation by a licensed expert organisation (ProtosExpertiza) and their submission of all relevant documentation to RosTechNadzor. Without the approval of the RTN neither operation may start, nor may a test run be carried out.
     The following products demand an RTN permit:
          ·All kinds of equipment for mining, oil and gas processing industries
          ·Energy generating plants
          ·Plants for the metallurgical industry
          ·Pressure tanks (i.e. air and gas compressors) as well as machines working under pressure
          ·Products and equipment that process, store and transport hazardous materials (chemistry, petro chemistry, gas)
          ·All kinds of explosion protection equipment (due to ATEX regulations)
          ·Cranes and freight elevators
     Please note:
     Before the RTN permit can be issued a GOST-R/-TR certificate needs to be obtained.Similar to the GOST-R/-TR certificate the RTN permit can be obtained on all working time of equipment (for one-time deliveries) or also for serial production for a period of 5 years. As with the GOST-R/-TR certification, inspections/audits of the manufacturer’s production facilities by RosTechNadzor and engineers in the field are performed.
