The working principle of Spine measurement device:

Forethought is an based assessment system integrated with 3D spatial tracking technology. It consists of a spatial sensing system with the sensor embedded in the probe. In addition to conventional imaging, it collects the spatial location of each image. Thus Forethought® can form a volumetric data set of spine for further processing.

It can provide 3D scanning for the whole spine and display bionic information in different ways. After scanning by  Forethought®, an image in the coronal plane can be provided for analysis. Using the advanced 3D analysis software  Forethought®, a full spine profile and 3D spine model can be established to measure the deformity in coronal, sagittal and transverse planes.
