INCINERATED SHREDDED STEEL SCRAP

Fragmentised incinerator scrap. Loose steel scrap processed through an incinerating plant for household waste followed by magnetic separation, fragmentised into pieces not exceeding **0 mm in any direction and consisting partly of tin coated steel cans. Should be prepared in a manner to ensure direct charging. The scrap shall be free of excessive moisture and rust.

Fe-content    ≥ *2 %

Impurities are around **7%. This product produces a nett yield of ****5% liquid metal.

This can be used as a substitute for Sponge Iron / DRI as this gives similar yields to Sponge Iron / DRI and is also a good substitute in reducing carbon in the liquid metal as this is a very low carbon scrap mix. We normally get an avg loading of *3 – *5mt  / *0 Ft container .The recommended mix / heat is about *0% of INCINERATED SHREDDED STEEL SCRAP along with *0% of other steel scrap such as HMS / SHREDDED(ISRI **1) / TURNINGS etc.. thus for example, in a *5 mt / heat  capacity melting furnace, about **8MT INCINERATED SHREDDED STEEL SCRAP can be easily used in the scrap mix.
