Glycyrrhiza uralensis is a source of Licorice roots contain a lot of glycyrrhizic acid and chemical compounds ( triterpenoid saponins and flavonoids) possessing antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, wound-healthing, spasmolytic, choleretic, antiulcerous and other properties which are the basis for medical products.
Licorice roots contain such extractive substances as glycyrrhizic acid, fruit-sugar, saccharose, cellulose, ascorbic acid, flavonoids ( liquirtin, isoliquertin, liquiritoside and others), steroids, essential oil, mineral and tanning substances.
