Silicon metal is important to the electronic industry, as it is the basic material used in producing monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon of high purity for electronic parts. These products are used in the manufacture of semiconductors, microchips for computers and solar cells used to capture electrical energy from the sun. 

For Aluminium Alloy Applications

Silicon metal is an additive to aluminum alloys and can be used to increase the fluidity and tenacity of Aluminum and its alloys, which enjoy good cast ability and weld ability accordingly.

For Chemical Industry Application

Silicon is widely used in the chemical industry as the basic raw material for producing silicone, a synthetic polymer (a string of long molecular chains) with special and varying properties. Silicones have stable thermal properties, are resistant to decomposition and chemicals, and are biologically adaptable. 

Silicones are used in a variety of applications such as lubricants, sealing compounds, cosmetics, textiles, paint, cosmetics, and electrical insulation materials for medical equipment, chips for use in electronic equipment, computers and car parts. 

Silicon metal is also used for fumed silica production in the chemical segment. Its final products include plastic articles, such as rubber, tyres, and segments based on silicones.
