Product Description

I. Introduction

The sintered mesh filter element is a high-performance, multilayer stainless steel filtration component manufactured by laminating multiple layers of woven metal mesh and sintering them in a high-temperature vacuum furnace. It combines excellent strength, corrosion resistance, thermal stability, and high filtration accuracy, making it ideal for demanding solid-liquid and gas-liquid separation applications.
 

The standard construction consists of five layers: a protective layer, a filtration control layer, a dispersion layer, and two reinforcing layers. This configuration enables precise filtration in the range of 2μm to **0μm, with a filtration efficiency of over *8%.

Common materials include SUS**4, SUS**6L, Hastelloy, and Monel alloys, ensuring compatibility with various corrosive media and mechanical stresses in complex working conditions.

II. Working Principle

The sintered mesh filter element operates based on a combination of surface interception and deep filtration. As the liquid or gas medium flows through the filter, particles are captured in different layers of the mesh according to their size, achieving highly efficient graded filtration.

  • The filtration control layer performs the core filtering function.

  • The dispersion and reinforcing layers ensure high permeability and mechanical strength.

  • The outer protective layer blocks large particles, thus extending the lifespan of the filter.

Thanks to its rigid structure and metallic bonding, the element remains stable under harsh conditions—up to 5 MPa pressure and **0°C temperature. It also supports online backwashing and ultrasonic cleaning, extending its service life to *2 years, making it 3 times more cost-effective than disposable filters.

III. Manufacturing Process

The production of a sintered mesh filter element involves the following key steps:

  1. Material Preparation: Select high-grade stainless steel mesh of different mesh counts and cut to required dimensions.

  2. Layer Design: Precisely stack layers in a predefined order—protective, filtration, dispersion, and reinforcement layers.

  3. Press Forming: Compact the stacked mesh layers under pressure to define thickness and porosity.

  4. Vacuum Sintering: Heat the mesh in a vacuum furnace at around ***0°C, enabling molecular diffusion bonding between layers.

  5. Welding and Interface Processing: Assemble and weld interface types such as **2, **6, threaded, flanged, or customized connectors.

  6. Shaping and Quality Control: Perform dimension correction, bubble point testing, flow-pressure testing, and overall structural integrity checks.

All processes comply with ISO ***1 quality standards, and certain filters meet FDA and SGS certifications upon request.

IV. Application Fields

Thanks to its outstanding performance, the sintered mesh filter element is widely used across a variety of industries:

1. Chemical & Petrochemical

  • Filtration of acidic, alkaline, and saline solutions such as electrolysis fluids, nitric acid, and alkalis;
