It involves heating compacted metal and alloy powders to just below their melting point and shaping and sizing the formed part to the required dimensions. Powder Metallurgy sintering process produces precision parts of light weight, good strength and accuracy, economically. 



Sintered metal components find application in a wide range of industries from domestic appliances, automotive, agriculture, textile, transmission to aerospace industry. 



Automotive industry using sintered components includes two wheelers, three weelers, four wheelers, heavy trucks and eath movers and includes components for engines, transmission, shock absorbers, chassis, Oil pump, braking system, bearing bush etc.



Sintered components for transmission industries, include couplings, gears etc. and for textile industry the components include cams in textile machines. For home appliances the sintered parts are sintered bearings used in fans, pumps, air coolers, grinders, and mixers.
