Duplex systems consist of two softening units and
regeneration process is set with flow control in these
systems.
When resin exchange capacity is exhausted, regeneration process which consists of five main steps that are backwash,brine andslow rinsing, rapid rinsing and refilling salt tank starts. In regeneration, resin leaves hardness ions to water and sodium ions are taken back again from the brine prepared in the salt tank so that system is ready to another service cycle. |
