Solar Water Heater Panel of 12 Tubes

The most flexible and adaptable of vacuum tube panels, U-tubes can be mounted at any angle, blending in to restricted access areas, with any system from thermosiphon to in floor heating. SLU series are all-glass evacuated tubular collectors with metal (copper) U tubes inside. Fluid circulates from the header to the bottom of the tubes, then back up.

Copper U tubes can stand high working pressures-up to 6 bar (0.6 Mpa) and have the highest efficiency of the solar panel only units.

These high efficiency glass tubes may be used with 1.5 meter heat pipes and fin inserts as well as passive solar water heaters that circulate water directly in the evacuated tubes. Solar energy is trapped on the black absorber surface, which is deposited on the inner glass using thin-film technology.

A vacuum between the inner and outer glass tubes prevents heat energy from being conducted away to the outside environment, which means that outside air temperature is almost irrelevant to the degree to which the inside the tubes can be heated.
