Product Description

M2 is a molybdenum high speed steel with advantages of high toughness and small carbide in-homogeneity. The steel has small and fine carbide particles, with high toughness, excellent cutting performance, good thermoplastic; has good wear resistance, more excellent performance red hardness especially under600 ℃.
However, the steel is easy to overheat, so it should be strictly controlled quenching temperature, stringent protection requirements to heat treatment. Because of its good hardness and wear resistance, it mainly used for manufacturing cutting tools to cutting harder materials. M2 high speed steel has greater carbide tendency, so the heat treatment protection is more stringent, and it suitable to withstand vibration and shock loading of the mold.
 
Applications
Standard punching head, special punching head and thread rolling tools that require high precision, long service and abrasion resistance.
Various types of machining tools, such as lathe bit, milling cutter, drill bit, screw tap, round saw, straight saw and other metal machining tools and wood machining tools.
Also suitable for manufacture of forming tools, such as cold extrusion head, extrusion die, punching dies of long service life, and plastic molds of high precision and long service life.
