The spinner discs  is a key component of the fiberizer. It is a metal disc with an arc-shaped side wall and thousands of small holes on its surface.
The spinner discs part rotates at high speed during use.
 Under the action of centrifugal force, the glass liquid is thrown to the edge of the centrifuge head, covering the entire arcuate surface, and is squeezed out of the small holes on the spinner discs  surface to form a glass fiber precursor.
Because the spinner discs is used at a high temperature of more than one thousand degrees, and the rotation speed is very high, and at the same time, it is also subjected to the corrosion of the glass liquid, so the requirements for the material of the centrifuge head are very high.
Stainless steel materials were used in the early days, but now they are all made of special cobalt nickel alloys. 
The aperture of the centrifugal head is specially designed, requiring the aperture size to meet the requirements, and to be round and uniform.
It is precisely because the glass fiber precursor must be formed through each small hole, so as long as it can be quickly stretched by the high-speed airflow, there will be no slag balls. 
This is why the slag ball content of centrifugal glass wool is very small, or even no slag ball at all.
