STARLENE Polypropylene Surgical Mesh is specially designed for the repair and reinforcement of hernia and other fascial defects. STARLENE Polypropylene Surgical Mesh is constructed of knitted filaments of extruded polypropylene identical in composition to that used in STARLENE Polypropylene Suture. In the form of a surgical suture, synthetic monofilament polypropylene has been reported to be non-reactive and to retain its strength indefinitely in tissue. STARLENE is knitted by a process that perfectly interlinks each fiber junction. This special process also provides bi-directional elasticity while allowing STERLENE to be cut to any shape or size without unraveling.
