Product Description

Pharmacological efficacy and action] It is a synthetic sodium triiodothyronine, which acts similar to thyroxine and is 3to5 times more potent than thyroxine. It is mainly used for the treatment of myxoedema and hypothyroidism requiring rapid response. It can also be used for the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism by T inhibition test.



The effect reached its peak within *4~*2h. After withdrawal, the effect lasted for *4~ T1/2h.The sodium salt was absorbed completely from the gastrointestinal tract. T3 is metabolized into inactivated *-iodoceronin and *-iodoceronin through deiodization.

The iodine released by its deiodization is largely reused in thyroid cells and excretion is faster. T1/2 is about 1d when thyroid function is normal, which is slightly longer when thyroid function 

is decelerated, and about 0.6d when thyroid function is hyperthyroidism.
