Tabular Alumina is the pure sintered alpha
alumina material that has been fully densified by rapid-sintering
without the use of sintering aids at tempertatures in excess of
***0 Degrees Celsius.When the internal crystalline structure of
tabular alumina is examined, large plate-like
ortable-like
crystals are apparent. The shape of these crystals gives "tabular"
alumina its name.The excellent thermal shock characteristics can
be attributed to its specific microstructure:low open porosity
and large crystals with closed spherical pores,which are
entrapped upon re-crystallization during rapid
sintering.
The application scope of Tabular
Alumina:
1. unshaped and shaped high performance
refractories.
2. replace fused alumina and white fused
alumina in some application position, and improve the performance
of refractory material.
3. a variety of industries such as a steel,
foundry, cement, petrochemical, ceramic and waste
incineration.
4. electrical insulators, kiln furniture
and as a catalyst support.
5. used as a filler in epoxy or resin
systems where high dielectric strength, thermal conductivity or
abrasion resistance is desired.
