Tabular corundum is a completely recrystallized
-al2o3 sintered at slightly below the melting point of imported
alumina after batching, grinding and molding. The crystals are
arranged in a tabular staggered way, which increases the mechanical
strength of the particles. The closed pores were mainly distributed
uniformly in and between grains, with high volume density, low
apparent porosity and water absorption, which reduced the amount of
liquid used for reprocessed products.
