Product Description

1.  Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 is High-carbon, High-chromium Tool Steel. Virtually non-deforming during heat treatment. High wear resistance, which increases with increasing C and V content.

2. Specification of  Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1: steel bar  Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 steel bar  is a high carbon, high chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, air hardening alloy tool steel which offers good wear resistance, high surface hardness, through hardening properties, dimensional stability and high resistance to tempering effect. Cold Work Tool Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 tool die steel bar is also suitable for vacuum hardening.

4.Forging OF  Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 steel bar: Heat slowly and uniformly to **0 centigrade then more rapidly to **0/***0 centigrade. After forging cool slowly.
5.Annealing  OF  Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1steel bar: Anneal at **0 centigrade and slow furnace cool. Hardness after annealing will be approx. **5 brinell.
6.Hardening  OF Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 steel bar:Pre heat slowly to **0/**0 centigrade and thoroughly soak. Continue heating to the final hardening temperature of ***0/***0 centigrade and allow the component to be heated through. Quench in oil or cool in air.
7.Tempering  OF Tool Die Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 steel bar:Heat uniformly and thoroughly at the selected tempering temperature and hold for at least one hour per inch of total thickness. Double tempering  for Cold Work Tool Steel D2/DIN 1.***9/JIS SKD*1 steel bar should be carried out with intermediate cooling to room temperature.
