APF***8T Moist Substrate Applied/Pre-applied Self-Adhesive Composite Waterproofing Membrane (with PY Embryo Substrate), researched and produced by Keshun Co. Ltd., has solved the problem of running water between waterproofing membranes and building structure by the special Moist Substrate Applied/Pre-Applied Construction methods. After extensively used for waterproofing projects (especially for underground projects), it is demonstrated that APF***8T is a kind of product with very high quality and good waterproofing capability, it won the “Project of Scientific and Technological Achievement Promoted by the Ministry of Construction in ***5”, at the same time, it gained the patent certificate issued by National Bureau of Intellectual Property. Outstanding Waterproofing System The APF***8T waterproofing system is composed of waterproofing layer and adhesive layer. The waterproofing layer is a kind of membrane with macromolecule polymer modified bitumen and synthetic rubber as the basic materials, with PY felt as the embryo substrate, some active addition agents added in it. Its upper surface is coated by polythene film and its lower surface is adhered anti-sticking silicon-coated isolation film. The adhesive layer is polymer cement mortar ，according to standard GB***0B****1, when thickness of polymer cement mortar ≥6mm, itself is a kind of rigid waterproofing layer and forms double waterproofing layers together with APF waterproofing membrane. Special adhering theory 1.Using cement mortar as the adhesive layer, APF***8T membranes can be laid on the moist substrate directly (but no visible water), the membranes shall be firmly adhered to substrate. For its special adhesion theory, it has some distinctive functions comparing with other kinds of self-adhesive membranes, and its using will greatly shorten the time of construction; ***** the substrate before construction , it can be moist but no visible water; ***** the substrate is too dry, it is needed to spray some water on the substrate surface. Mix the polymer and cement (>C*2.5R) in accordance with ratio: polymer powder: cement = 1:*0, then pour water in it according to formula: mixed powder: water = 1:0.4, and mix them with a stirrer for **2 min; 4.Daub the prepared polymer mortar with scratching plates on the substrate and lay the membranes on mortar as it is being scratched. When adhering the long-edge joints of membranes, peel off the pre-left isolation strip of the membrane and stick the joints according the adhesive line. At last, brush the special sealant on all joints. Operation points: ***** guarantee the adhesive quality of waterproofing layer, pay attention to the ratio of powder and water when preparing the mortar. ***** the overlapping parts of membranes with cloth to avoid contaminate the overlapping area with cement mortars before sticking the joints. 3.Don’t walking on or stirring the finished waterproofing layer within *8 hours. If the construction on the waterproofing layer is needed at once, protections for waterproofing layer should be taken.
