Zeolite is a material with an aluminum silicate hydrate structure with a high specific surface area so it has great potential for use as an adsorbent [**3]. Heulandite, Clinoptilolite, and Mordenite are the types of natural zeolites that are most abundant in nature [4]. Heulandite and Clinoptilolite have similar crystal structures, namely monoclinic but differ in their Si/Al ratio values. Heulandite has a Si/Al ratio < 4.0 while Clinoptilolite has a Si/Al ratio of 4.0 to 5.2 [1.4]. In contrast to Heulandite and Clinoptilolite, Mordenite has an orthorhombic structure with a Si/Al ratio of 4.**5.5 [5,6]. Each type of zeolite has unique characteristics, different from each other, such as differences in adsorption ability, ion exchange, as well as thermal and mechanical resistance. As a result, each type of zeolite has different potential applications. For further utilization, the adsorption ability of zeolite needs to be increased. This is because, under natural conditions, the adsorption capacity of natural zeolite is still relatively low. Increasing the adsorption ability of zeolite can be done through a modification or activation process.
