Our power conversion design includes a PWM mode, and is able to put the electronics in an active stand-by mode, so the electronic consumption is reduced at minimum: in a cloudy and rainy day you will get, at least, the same energy as if you connect directly the PV module to the battery. At night, the electronics are putted in stand-by mode, waking up every 4 seconds to check the system. PWM switch is also used during full charge process to limit the current to the battery.
