Red clover is a dark pink
herb native to Europe, Asia and North Africa. Plus, it is
now a feed throughout South America, improving soil
quality. The brightly colored flowers of red clover
contain a variety of nutrients, including calcium,
chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium,
thiamine, and vitamin C. They are also a rich source of
isoflavones. These are compounds that act as
phytoestrogens — phytochemicals similar to the female
hormone estrogen.
