Description

A basic photovoltaic system for energy generation is made of solar modules, controllers, Inverters and if needed batteries. Normally the modules are connected as an array. A photovoltaic array is a linked collection of photovoltaic modules. Each photovoltaic (PV) module is made of multiple interconnected solar cells. The cells convert solar energy into direct current electricity (DC), to be feed in the public electricity network or stored in batteries for later use. The function and complicated performance of controllers differ according to the system architecture. The controller is build up by electronic devices and components, relays and switches. The basic function of a charge controller is to supply the best charging current and voltage for the battery, enable a fast, stable and high efficient charge of the battery. It also reduce the losses and prolong the life-span of the battery, protect the battery and avoid over charging and discharging. The function of inverter is to change the low voltage and DC produced by the solar array into **0V voltage AC, to be feed in the electricity network.
