Telephone/data/video Fiber MUX

Description

Microptical's Telephone, Ethernet & Data Fiber Multiplexer multiplexes various combinations of 1~*0 ch. FXO/FXS, 1~4 Ch. *0/**0 Ethernet(FULLrate or NX*4Kbps), 4 *****1 and 1~2 ch. RS**2 and 1~8ch.video signals over single mode or multimode fiber.

The MUX supports distances to more than **0 km and offers a two-way, "one fiber" communication option to maximize fiber cable usage. Optional tekwayundant power and optics include automatic switchover for maximum reliability.

The Ethernet port auto-negotiates at *0/**0/***0 with full ***0Mbps throughput or rate control in increments of *4Kbps. It is IEEE **2.3/**2.3u/**2.3x compliant.

The mux converts *-wire FXS to fiber optics on the telephone side with ring down capability and FXO on the PBX side. Because the mux digitizes the analog signals (PCM), voice quality does not degrade over extended distances. Serial interface options are RS***2, RS***2, RS**5, Dry Contact.

The MUX is available as standalone unit or rackmount card. The rackmount card fits into *9" Rackmount Card Cages. Fiber optic connectors are ST, FC or SC. Optional power sources include *4VDC, **8VDC, **0VDC.
