Legend: A man named Wang Shirang met friends in Nanxuan, Anhui and found a tea tree that was quite different from the others. He transplanted the bush to his garden and devotedly looked after it. In spring, he plucked the leaves and made tea which appeared very fragrant and tasty, and the tea leaves sank down to the bottom. In the 9 years of Qianlong dynasty, he was called into the capital and visited the official Fang Wangxi with the tea as gift. Fang found the tea intriguing taste then presented to Qianlong emperor. Qianlong emperor enjoyed the tea which tasted sweet smoothness. There was a special natural orchid aroma, color sand green, such as iron pressed hands. The emperor subsequently named the tea âTie Kuan Yinâ . The legend was thus told from mouth to mouth across the lands while Tie Kuan Yin Tea being sold all over the world.
