In latex vulcanization ZMBT is used in combination with ZBEC, ZDMC and ZDEC. ZMBT does not destabilize latex formulations.
In latex thread applications the low free MBT grade of ZMBT provide reduced extraction of MBT during acid coagulation (acid bath pollution) and helps to stabilize the viscosity of latex compounds during storage.
In dry rubber applications the performance of ZMBT is almost similar to MBT, but with a slight scorch improvement.
