Sekel bush is an invasive plant that has really made its presence felt in the northern regions of South Africa. Large tracts of agricultural land have been taken over by this difficult to remove species. Sekel bush is a very hardy wood and is amongst one of the hardest woods found. It can be used for heating as firewood in closed or open fireplaces.
Sekel Bush also known as “Sekel Bos” or “Hardekool” meaning this wood makes good hard coals that can be used to BBQ , or as we like to call it—“Braai”. It’s long lasting and ideal to cook on.
