Introduction:

Ansen Casting Tape is made of knitted fiberglass fabric impregnated with water-activated polyurethane resin and two layer non-woven fabric.

Specification:

Operation :

1. Use the protective padding or stockinet on the fixed part.

2. Wear surgical gloves.

3. Before opening the package, select the roll of proper size.

4. Immerse the cast in room temperature water (****4℃) for **6 seconds and squeeze it **3 times to complete penetration of water into the body of the roll. The higher the water temperature is the faster cast hardens.

5. Wrap spirally, overlapping the previous layer by one-half or two-thirds the width of the roll. Keep the proper tension and take care to avoid excessive tightness. Just **4 layers provide a strong non-weight-bearing cast and **6 layers are typically adequate for weight-bearing cast.

6. After water soak the cast begins to solidify in **5 minutes and can bear weight enough in *0 minutes. Generally the operation will be finished in 3 minutes. Smooth and rub the surface to achieve good contact between layers. It needs to be avoided excessive action within *0 minutes to be made the best stiffness before fully hardened.

7. Cast removal: cutting by an electric cast saw.

Precautions:

1. The operator should wear gloves to avoid the polyurethane touching and adhering the skin. When the operator is stuck by polyurethane resin, please wipe it out with cotton swab with acetone.

2. Check bag without any breakage. Exposure to moisture or water initiates a chemical reaction that causes the fine tape to become rigid. Do not use the tape that feels hard.

3. Open one bag at one time and use the cast immediately. Don\'t open multi-bags at the same time so that to avoid weakening the strength.

4. Ansen Cast should be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated atmosphere. The proper temperature is ****0℃ and the humidity should be less than RH*0%.

5. All applications of these casts should be followed according to instructions of doctors or qualified medical professionals.

6. Production date is marked on bag. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of production.
