Description
Two Flutes Solid Carbide Up and Down
Cut Compression Spiral Bits for Woodworking
The part of the
bit closest to the tip is upcut and the other end is downcut. That
is why its called a compression bit. It compresses the chips into
the center of the bit.
Spiral router
bits leave a clean edge on the top or bottom surface, depending on
the direction of the cut. So we have up cut spiral router
bits and down cut spiral router bits.
Compression
router bits are an excellent choice for woodworkers who must have a
clean top and bottom surface, as they have a Up-Cut design on the
tip of the bit and a Down-Cut design ground into the
shank.
Designed to
provide a smoother finished cut and router wood and wood composites
where upward/ downward chip removal, long life and quality finish
are desired. Its great for cutting openings in
wood.
This makes it
especially great for plywood, laminates and MDF when you need both
the top and bottom edges clean. You just have to make sure that the
piece of wood you are cutting is thick enough so that both ends of
the bit have room to work. Both the top and bottom are cut
perfectly clean.
Choose from our
large variety of solid carbide spiral & compression router bits
below. They are widely used on CNC and
other automatic routers as well as hand-held router and
table-mounted portable routers.
