High efficiency protein skimmer

Description

Protein skimmer is an important equipment for sea water circulation system. In the water recirculating aquaculture or aquarium project, there are a lot of undissolved microscopic organic compounds, protein particles, amino acids, aliphatic acids, carbohydrate, water detritus or other organic impurities and so on. , Therefore, we design protein skimmer to remove them effectively and efficiently. Protein skimmer also called foam separator or foam fractionator, it uses gas tension to adsorb small suspended solids. The main part of protein skimmer is reaction tank. There is bubble device under the reaction tank which can produce a mass of small bubbles. Due to the buoyancy, the bubble will go up constantly and carry the suspended solids to the top of the reaction tank, and then escape from the overflow pipe.

Because most of suspended solids are organic or containing organic nitrogen, so the protein skimmer could remove them before bacterial decomposition and avoid them changing into NH3 or H2S, or other harmful solvend. So protein skimmer can also called nitrogen skimmer.
