XFT Medical Limited launched XFT****1D which
is a functional electrical stimulation (FES) or neuro
rehabilitation device to help foot drop patients lift their foot at
an appropriate phase while walking so that enabling patients regain
independent, safe and freedom.
Adopts advanced MEMS sensor technology and intelligent algorithms,
XFT****1D precisely controlling the time and duration of electrical
stimulation by tracking the swing angle and pace of patient\'s
leg.
XFT****1D is an effective treatment of foot drop or dropped foot
caused by Brain or Spinal diseases or Trauma, such as Stroke (CVA),
Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury
(TBI), Brain Tumor, or Cerebral Palsy (CP).
◆How Does XFT****1D Foot Drop System
Work?
XFT****1D foot drop stimulator comes with a built-in gyroscope and
accelerometer. It can detect the angle between patient\'s leg and
ground. When the angel reach certain value, the stimulation will be
triggered and delivered to patient\'s leg via electrode to help
patient walk.
Stimulation impels the foot to lift (dorsiflexion) and tilt
slightly (eversion). Stimulation also can be timed to walking by
using a pressure switch placed in the shoe under the heel.
Stimulation begins when the heel is lifted from the ground and ends
just after heel strike. Stimulation causes the foot to lift and
stabilizes the ankle when the foot is returned to the ground.
