Platinum resistance thermometer (RTD) in accordance with DIN EN ****1 (class A or B) and thermocouples (TC) in accordance with DIN EN ****4 (class 1 or 2) for industrial use comprise a measuring insert within housing protected against corrosion. These housings come in a wide range of designs depending on the installation and available space, with screw connection, protective tube with screw connection, neck tube with screw connection or flange connection. The wiring of the measuring insert is often incorporated into a connection head "Form B" or "Form BUZ", from which the thermometer can be connected via a cable to an external electrical measuring device. The measuring insert and stainless steel jacket is an easily replaceable unit, which normally includes a ceramic connection base.
