Laura Shields started the business for extra money to help put herself through massage school in Clearwater, Florida. She came up with Shields Gift Source (SGS) based on the idea that the business has such diversity in itself. After graduating with Honors from EduTech Centers, she & the business moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in August of ***5. In October of that same year Laura went to play bingo at Player's Place on North Avenue. That night changed everything when she won the jackpot of a little more than $*9,**0.*0. November ***5 Shields Gift Source opened their retail doors for business. We first opened our doors in the Cottonwood Mall and now today we are located in the heart of Grand Junction, Colorado on Main Street! The store is run by herself and her mother. Occasionally you may see her sister and her friends helping out as well. We have recently added the internet as another source to reach more of our customers for added convenience. Although, the internet will not feature our consignment items from the local artists. We do invite you to come see our products. Our line of products features beautifully crafted top quality items ranging from home decor to collectibles. These items have been featured in various gift stores around the globe.
