Sirocco Commercial Services Limited was incorporated and registered in Nairobi, Kenya in June, ***3 as a limited liability company. We are licensed and participate and buy Tea and Coffee in weekly auctions held in Mombasa and Nairobi respectively on Tuesdays. We have knowledge, manpower, quality of service and excellent reputation. TYPES OF TEA Tea grading is one of the most complicated and misunderstood subjects. It is often misunderstood because of number factors. CTC- (CUT, TEAR & CURL) PRIMARY GRADES Broken Pekoe 1(BP1)-Forms about ****4% of the total production and has the largest size particles. Liquors are light in colour but have an encouraging flavouring characteristic. Pekoe Fanning 1(PF1)-Forms the bulk of the production about ****0% and made up of black grainy particles slightly smaller than the BP1. Pekoe Dust (PD)-Forms ****2% of the production, often black and finer than the PF1 and has thick liquors and aroma. Dust 1(D1)-Forms about **6% of the production and is made up of the smallest particles and characterized by strong liquors. Kenya Black Tea is sold in weekly (Tuesdays) auctions in Mombasa, KENYA and then prices for the week are released. For example; on Sept. *8, ***9, Auction Prices for Ndima Tea Factory were as Follows:- Grade BP*- US$ 4.*0/Kg, Grade PF1 - US$ 3.*2/Kg, PD - US$ 3.*0/Kg and D1 - US$ 3.*0/Kg.
