History: For over sixty years, Solia's farm of Angelini & Carta has been synonym of great quality olive oil defined by tradition continuity, respect of territory and constant refinement of production methods. Solia's farm is based in Italy and overlooks the white sand beach and sea of Marina di Sorso, on the North-West coast of Sardinia, at the heart of a territory where olive growing as well as local language are the most visible contributions of an over three centuries old Spanish dominion. Santu Miali locality lies over here, very close to what was once referred as Torres, the ancient name of Sassari, the capital of North Sardinia. Only a year ago, Solia introduced new pruning and harvest methods, selecting only the best quality and highly-regarded "bosana" olives. By using the most modern methods that maintain intact all the originary precious qualities of the fruit, Solia produces the extra-virgin oil "L'Oro dell'Isola". A particular very low acidity with a fruity and hot taste, typical of the land, climate and production methods are its most appreciated characteristics. The oils: Being Solia's land a relatively small area, it has been decided to take into consideration and select only the noble tradition of the bosana "cultivar" and to focus only on quality rather than quantity. Olives are harvested with manual systems and within **8 hours transported to the press in little *0 Kg plastic boxes. The entire production is obtained using solely "bosana" olives from the province of Sassari in Sardinia. We monitor the whole process from the blossoming, treating the plant, transportation (within 8 hours), cleansing, below *8 degree cold-pressing, clarification with natural decantation, through to the storing in *8/*0 steel tanks for retail sale. The oil mill boasts a continuous press that allows combining all the different phases of extraction, store in steel tanks and tubes without interruption and air contact.
