Our main business is in the production and shipment of Teak (Tectona grandis) logs from plantations in Central and South America. Although we deal in Teak, we also operate sawmills in Latin America which produce roughly squared tropical hardwood logs and cants. Currently, we are processing timber from our concessions in Nicaragua after hurricane Felix blew down millions of cubic meters of tropical hardwoods. The largest volume of these hardwoods is comprised of Andiroba (Carapa guianensis). The majority of our timber is shipped in either log, cant, block or lumber form, most of which is either shipped green or air-dried.
