Upholstery foams

We offer elastic polyurethane upholstery foams. It comes in **0x**0cm (*7"x*8") sheets with various thickness. It's perfect for mattresses as well as upholstered furniture- sofa seats, back/arm/head rests, headboards etc. and many other.

When buying an upholstery foam you may find a product marked N***4 **0x**0x5cm.

- The letter 'N' means it is a standard upholstery foam.
- The number '*5' represents the density of the foam - *5kg/m3
- The number '*4' represtents the rigidity of the foam tested by compressing a *0x*0x*0cm sample of the foam by *0% of its thickness (6cm). '*4' means how hard the foam 'fights' against the compression - in this case 4,4kPa.
- The last three numbers describe the size of the foam:
**0cm (*8") length
**0cm (*7") width
5cm (1.*6") thickness

Density is the most important quality of the upholstery foam. The denser the foam the more durable it is. Upholstery foams with the density of *5kg/m3 (N*5) are generally used in mattresses, bed and sofa fillings, seats, divans, ottomans, poufs etc. Upholstery foams with the density of *5kg/m3 are mainly used in back/arm/head rests, however sometimes they are also used in mattresses and seats.

The rigidity doesn't necessarily reflect the quality of the foam but gives the customer an idea on how 'hard' the foam is.
