Kaltanis Giant African Land Snails (GALS) produce snail mucus as a defense mechanism against predators. As the GALS protects itself, the slime is excreted and is packed with rich natural secretions that have proven medicinal properties that are used in various dermatologic conditions and products. Snail slime is a component of numerous skin products that provide many benefits to skin. It is particularly utilized to treat burns, wounds and also works as a topical anesthetic to reduce pain. All our snail mucus is either harvested on Kaltanis farm.
