Product Description

1. APPLICATIONS

(1) All types of orthoses, prosthetic sockets and covers: 
PILECOMBO®3D printable polypropylene is widely used in rehabilitation due to its just good properties in terms of strength and stiffness/flexibility. The printed products are thermal reshapable, that perfectly meets the clinical requirements for adaptation and adjustment.
The substrate and all components within our polypropylene are FDA approved safe for medical use, skin-friendly, non-toxic and odourless.
It is commonly used for direct fabricating the products, without any moulding process. It shortens the workflow, thus lowers the comprehensive costs and increases the production efficiency.


(2) Medical devices such as surgical models, surgical guides:
The printed products can withstand high temperature steam or ultraviolet sterilisation and disinfection.
The printed surgical models can withstand drilling, nailing, cutting and sawing, laser welding, etc.




2. MATERIAL

(1) Brief Description:
PILECOMBO®3D printable polypropylene series, compatible with any FDM printer, show high performances in every aspect - excellent mechanical properties and durability, high temperature resistance, strong acid and alkali resistance, UV resistance, etc. The coefficient of water absorption is less than 0.3%, therefore no drying is required before printing. The printed products can be easily processed by CNC machining and even plating.


(2) Features & Advantages:
        (a) High Temperature Resistance
        The Heat Distortion Temperature (HDT) is up to **0℃, according to ASTM D**8, under *6psi or equivalently 0.**5MPa load. The printed products can stay reliable from **0℃ through **0℃. 
        e.g. Heating Test - from *0℃ to **0℃.

        (b) Chemical Resistance 
        PILECOMBO®3D printable polypropylene series can resist the corrosion of most solvents in market such as acetone based paint, alcohol solvents, and in weak acid environment.
        e.g. Corrosion Test - infused in sodium hydroxide solution.

        (c) Machining Capabilities
PILECOMBO®3D printable polypropylene series keep performing steadily after processed with turning, milling, drilling, planing, etc.
        e.g. Machining Test - CNC milling.

        (d) Plating Capabilities
        PILECOMBO®3D printable polypropylene series can be plated in concentrated sulphuric acid environment.
