Enramycin is a kind of polypeptide antibiotics
which composed by an unsaturated fatty acid and dozen amino acids.
It is produced by Streptomyces fungicidicus. Enramycin was approved
to be added in the feed for long-term use by Department of

Pharmacological and
function:
Enramycin has a strong anti-bacterial effective
against gram-positive bacteria, the antibacterial mechanism
isinhibit
bacterial cell wall synthesis. It has strong bactericidal activity
against the harmful Clostridium in the intestine, Staphylococcus
aureus, Streptococcus and so on. The minimum inhibitory
concentration to Gram-positive bacteria is
0.***3.*2ug/ml.
The antimicrobial activity of enramycin for
clostridium perfringens
As we know, clostridium perfringens is widely
existed in feeds. It can damage the small intestine, and will be
aggravated of the coccidiosis. Compare with other antibiotics,
enramycin are effective to reduce the quantity of clostridium
perfringens.
