Our Powdered activated carbon is the
most common and widely used variety in automotive, pharmaceutical
& medical and food & beverage processing industries, owing
to its unique pore structure and high adsorption
capacity.
Our PAC is currently also used as powder
or slurries in the water treatment plants in order to get rid of
organic chemicals present in the water, as well as to improve the
taste and odor of potable water.
The powdered activated carbon which comes out after the
manufacturing process is in unwashed form. The unwashed activated
carbon has higher ash and iron content. This is reduced by washing
the unwashed activated carbon with acid and then continuously with
purified water for reduction of impurities. This results in
minimization of ash content to and iron content.
Our gradation of different qualities of activated carbon is done on
the basis of Methylene blue value and iodine value.
