Stability and Storage
Calcium Ascorbate is fairly stable to air if protected from humidity,but is slightly sensitive to heat.It is less susceptible to discoloration than ascorbic acid.Calcium ascorbate is suitable for use in dry preparations only,because its solutions have a tendency to form precipitates of calcium oxalate.The product may be stored for *4 months from the date of manufacture in the unopened original container and at room temperature below *5℃.On prolonged storage,a slight yellow discoloration may occur which ,however,does not affect the biological activity.
