Electronic ballasts are now replacing older conventional lighting ballasts due to their small dimensions, low weight, energy savings, improved Cost (Power Factor) combined with low maintenance costs. Fluctuations in power supplies are common and with conventional ballasts, this results in a fluctuation (flickering) of the light output. With Electronic Ballasts these fluctuations have no effect on the output. The bulb always gives the same constant steady light output, resulting in better light distribution and a longer bulb life. These ballasts are available for both High Pressure Sodium (HPS) and Metal Halide (MH) lamps. The ballasts are made in China to high quality standards at reasonable prices.
