It is Ferrous salt of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). Ferrous Acorbate resulting by reacting ascorbic acid and iron. This has fantastic absorption as ascorbic acid enhances absorption of iron. Ascorbic acids reduce ferric iron to ferrous iron which remains soluble even at neutral pH.
