HPA can be used to produce kinds of metal hypophosphites and used as reducing agent, antioxidant and molecular weight regulator.
Moderately strong monoacid and a strong reducing agent,which
could easily be
oxidized in the air. When exposed to strong heat or oxidant,it
will decompose into
phosphine, phosphoric acid, phosphite acid and hydrogen.
HPA should be kept in ventilated and dry place. Avoid high temperature and oxidants. Prevent spilling because of its strong causticity.
