Product Description

HQEE is an aromatic diol chain extender. It improves tensile, elongation, hardness, modulus, wear resistance and resilience properties to MDI-polyurethane elastomers (CPU, TPU, MPU).

Elastomers made from HQEE chain extender have wide application in oil well seals, tires, seals, conveyor lines, skateboard wheels, damping vibration and other products in which superior physical properties are required.

Instructions

HQEE is used as chain extender for prepolymer based on polyester, polyether or polycarbonate terminated with reactive MDI groups.

Step 1.Using the %NCO of the prepolymer, OH# of HQEE diol, and the desired NCO/OH ratio of 0.*7/1 to 1.1/1, calculate the amount of prepolymer and HQEE required to make the elastomer.

Step 2.Heat the prepolymer, HQEE to **0 ˚C.

Step 3.Add HQEE to prepolymer，stir mixture, degas quickly to prevent cooling.

Step4.Pour the mixture to the preheated mold, cure at **0 ˚C for 0.**2hr.

Step 5.Demold the product，post-cure at **0 ˚C in oven for *6hr.

Step 6.Take out the product，age under ambient conditions for 7days before use.

Precautions

1.Maintain the HQEE, prepolymer and container, mold above **0 ˚C to prevent crystallization of HQEE.

2.Prevent moisture when store and handling HQEE, prepolymer.

Packing and Storage To prevent moisture absorption, a plastic bag is included in the closed container, stored in dry and cool place. Net weight *5kg.
