caustic soda (NaOH) to form sodium alkylbenzene sulphonate-an
extensively applied anion-surfactant
2) It is a raw material for detergent industry, characterized by
detergency, foam, moisture, emulsion and dispersing
3) It can also be used to produce calcium alkylbenzene
sulphonate, a high quality emulsifier for insecticide, when
neutralized with slaked lime
