LUOFUCON alginate dressing

Product Description

LUOFUCONTM Alginate Dressing is made of soft non-woven fibers derived from seaweed. It is designed to be highly, fast absorbent. Alginates absorb wound exudates and form a gel-like covering over the wound, maintaining a moist wound healing environment witch accelerates healing process and stops minor bleeding. The gel-like surface also keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound so it is painless removal.

Component
Mainly calcium alginate fiber

Indications
For moderately to heavily draining wounds, cavity wounds and acute wounds such as:
1. Venous/arterial leg ulcer
2. Diabetic ulcer
2. Pressure sores.
3. Donor sites.
4. Abrasions, lacerations and post-surgical wounds.

Applications
1. Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry the surrounding skin gently.
2. Chose the right size of dressing according to the wound area. The dressing should be larger than the wound surface (1 **2 cm over the wound edge). Use a secondary dressing to fix it. Adopt alginate ropes to cavity wounds.
3. Change the dressing everyday at beginning. Change the dressing according to wound status when granulation formed.
4. The product can be stayed on wound bed up to 7 days. Change the dressing depending on the amount of exudates.

Contraindications
1. Use this product under doctor's instruction in case of infection.
2. LUOFUCONTM Alginate Dressing (or Rope) are not recommended to be applied to wounds that need surgical to achieve hemostasia.
3. Do not use this product to dry wound.
4. This is a disposable product and can not be reused. Do not use it when the packing is torn.

Storage
Please store the product in sealed, cool and dry place avoiding light.
