Molecular formula is 4MgCO3.Mg(OH)2.8H2O. White
monoclinic crystal or amorphous powder, innocuous, odourless,
stable in air. Slightly dissolvable in water, makes water
alkalescence. Light Magnesium Carbonate usually decomposes into
H2O, CO2 and Magnesium Oxide at over **0°C.
Light Magnesium Carbonate, used as fine filling medium and
reinforcing agent, applied to heat insulation, fireproofing thermal
insulation material and advanced electrical insulating material;
also in daily chemicals and medicine products such as senior glass
products, magnesiumsalts, pigment, paint, fire retardant coating,
print ink, ceramics, cosmetics, toothpaste, etc. Food grade light
magnesium carbonate can be used as flour additive, and desiccant,
color fixative, carrier, antitackiness agent and anti-skidding
powder for athlete
