Methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTHPA, MeTHPA) is a new liquid organic anhydride epoxy resin curing agent with excellent properties. Because anhydride curing agent has better heat resistance and chemical stability than amine curing agent, and can still maintain excellent physical and electrical properties at high temperature, it has been insulated from motor, electronics, electrical appliances and other industries in recent years. MTHPA (MeTHPA) is a high-performance anhydride curing agent product. Its performance features include high purity, light color, low viscosity, low volatility, low toxicity, small heat loss, stable performance, long application period and high freezing point. Long term storage at low temperature and room temperature.

This product is widely used in epoxy potting materials, pouring materials, bonding, lamination, impregnation, forming and winding processes, as well as insulating sleeves, oil pipelines, fishery machinery, etc. For example: pouring and filling electronic components, large dry-type transformers, high-voltage switches, capacitors, current and voltage transformers, large and micro motors, line output transformers, large resin insulators, etc. It is understood that the epoxy resin curing agent used to manufacture wind turbine blades and hubs is mainly anhydride curing agent, such as methyl tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MTHPA, MeTHPA) or methyl hexahydrophthalic anhydride.
