Nano Silver activated coconut carbon Particles inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria in the carbon block. Standard carbon blocks can become a breeding place for bacteria if they are not changed regularly (6 monthly) and can do more harm than good.

In a filtration system which has multiple carbon filters this filter cartridge is ideal in water that has already had the chlorine removed by a previous carbon filter. The use of a standard filter in this situation would result in flat tasting water which is a sign of bacteria growing in the water.

In low use situations with relatively clean water supply, this filter can last up to *2 months before performance declines. In situations where high quantities of water are consumed or the quality of the water supply is not perfect you should look to replace this filter after 6 months to ensure maximum performance of the filter.
