Potassium superoxide is a yellow powder, with;

It form potassium oxide(k*0) and release oxygen, when decomposing.
It may react respectively with water and steam containing carbon
dioxide and release oxygen, and tends to burn upon contact with
ouganic inflammable.
Applications:
By using the feature of potassium superoxide to release oxygen by
reaction with steam containing carbon dioxide, mainly used for
preapration of various chemical oxygen generation agents for air
regeneration in isolated gas mask and closed space.
